Scholastic Book Fair |
Come explore our large
selection of books and find great reads for every person in your family.
All of the books have been carefully reviewed and approved for young
readers. These books represent the best authors and illustrators in
children’s publishing. We are passionate about reading and hope you and
your family can be a part of our Book Fair experience. |
| Mom & Dad Luncheons | Want a treat? Come in and
eat!! Gloria Dei celebrates our families with a luncheon for Dads and a luncheon for Moms. It is a special
occasion for everyone involved. We hope to see you then! (4’s through 8th grade)

| Family Math Night | Did you know how much fun you
could have doing math? We have many fun math activities and games for
all of the families to enjoy. It is open to all of our children and
their families. Come join us and see how fun math can really be!

| Chick-fil-A Spirit Night | Throughout the year our local
Chick-fil-A restaurant will invite us to join them in support of our
organization with a Gloria Dei Chick-fil-A Spirit Night!! Gloria Dei
will receive a portion of the proceeds for each person that provides a
Gloria Dei Spirit Night card at the time of their meal purchase. Be on the lookout for more information regarding these mouth-watering events.

| Box-a-thon / Bike-a-thon | For several years now Gloria
Dei has participated in a fundraising event for St. Jude’s Children’s
Research Hospital. In this fundraising event children from the ages of
2-4 will participate in a box-a-thon where the children fashion an
automobile out of a cardboard box and walk laps. Later in the afternoon the children from Kindergarten through 8th grade will ride laps on their bikes and tricycles in the school parking lot. The children earn funds by getting sponsors for their efforts. All of the proceeds go directly to the hospital to help children that are in need of medical research and care. Come watch the fun!

| Lifetouch Picture day | Our class and individual
pictures are taken in October every year. More detailed information will
be available..

| Grandparent’s Day | Children bring their
grandparents to school and show them what they've learned in class as
well as participate in various activities.
|
| Carnival | Gloria Dei holds an annual
Carnival that is full of fun games, prizes, and treats!! In the past we
have had great participation from our classes and families that have
allowed us enjoyment in everything from face painting to pony rides! We
even have a “jail cell” where you can send a friend, family member,
teacher, or even the school principal! We encourage you all to come over and enjoy this time with all of our Gloria Dei staff members, families, and friends. |
| German Fest | Our students begin to learn
the German language in Kindergarten and continue with these studies
through the 8th grade. In order to show their families and friends their
progress, our students take part in German Fest where we dine on German
cuisine and listen to our children speak, sing, and even dance like they
do in Germany!! We end the evening with a lantern parade down Nall Road. It is great fun and heartwarming entertainment. |
| Christmas Program | Before our preschool and grade
school students head off for Winter Break, our children from each age
group will invite you to share in the holiday spirit as they sing
beautiful songs of praise. It is a heartwarming experience for everyone
in attendance. |
| Winter Fest | Come prepared for a chilly
good time!! This is a fun activity packed with games and entertainment
when we need it most – right in the middle of winter!! More information will be available.

| Science Fair | All of our children from the
age of 2 through the 8th grade participate in projects for display in
our Annual Science Fair. Children in Preschool and Kindergarten work
together with their classmates in order to complete a full project,
while children in 1st through 8th grade complete individual projects at
home. Can’t wait to see what our children will think up this year!

| Supper & Auction | This event is our largest and
most exciting fundraiser throughout the school year. The evening begins
with a tasty dinner, with the auction beginning at dessert. We have
individual items up for bid as well as many sizeable gift certificates
for area restaurants and attractions. Our children even make something
in each classroom that one lucky family will take claim of on this day.
You won’t want to miss the action as you make great purchases and
support your child’s school and child care center all at the same time.

| Band & Recorder Concert | During Music class, our
students in 3rd & 4th grade learn how to play the Recorder, and as they
move on to our middle school they participate in Band class. In order appreciate their great efforts and mounting progress, you will want to attend their Band & Recorder Concert.

| Pajama Party/Game Night | In order to get everyone
prepared for Spring Break, we throw a Pajama Party & Game Night that is
jam packed with board games, computer games, dancing, and even story
time. This is a great time to socialize for our children and their
families. Don’t forget to wear your jammies!
|
| Musical | At the end of our year our
children put on a spectacular Musical production that includes all of
our children from age 2 through 8th grade!! They practice their songs
throughout the year and work hard to perfect their routines and lines
before the big day arrives. You won’t want to miss this for anything! Look for more information in the future!
